Zero Fast

Terms of Use

Effective October 14, 2026 · Last updated October 14, 2026

Terms of Use for the Zero Fast app for iOS (bundle com.appe-latte.zero-fast). Provider: Appè Latte Limited (“we”, “us”), operating as Appè Latte, a company incorporated in Alberta, Canada.

By downloading or using Zero Fast you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which they supplement. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Zero Fast is a tracking tool, not medical advice (see §2).

1. Your licence

Zero Fast is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Licensed Application EULA”), under which we are the Licensor. The Licensed Application EULA sets out the licence itself: where you may use Zero Fast, what you may not do with it, and its warranty and liability terms. These Terms supplement it. Your use of Zero Fast is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

These Terms add what is specific to Zero Fast: health, accounts, the Premium subscription, shared challenges and how to reach us. If these Terms and the Licensed Application EULA conflict, the Licensed Application EULA governs to the extent of the conflict, except that §11 (Governing law) always governs these Terms.

2. Zero Fast is not medical advice

Zero Fast is designed for informational and tracking purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition, and nothing in it is medical advice.

  • Talk to a professional first. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any fasting program or making changes to your diet or lifestyle. Fasting may not be appropriate for minors.
  • Stages and figures are estimates. The fasting stages, metabolic phases and figures such as estimated ketone and glucose levels that Zero Fast shows are worked out from how long you have been fasting and the details you enter. The app does not measure anything in your body, and your body may not follow the same timeline.
  • Plans, insights and forecasts are suggestions. The AI weekly plan, predictive insights and weight forecasts are worked out on your device from your own logs. They can be wrong, and they are estimates, not medical advice.
  • Some written messages come from an AI model. The written read of your Premium monthly summary, and some Premium accountability messages, are generated by an AI model (Claude, made by Anthropic) through our server from a summary of your logs. They can be wrong and are not medical advice. The Privacy Policy sets out what is sent.
  • Your body comes first. If you feel unwell during a fast, stop and get medical help. Do not wait for the timer, a streak or a challenge.

3. Accounts

You need an account to use Zero Fast. You sign up with an email address and a password.

You agree to give accurate information, to keep your password to yourself, and to tell us promptly at hey@appe-latte.ca if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app; the Privacy Policy explains what deletion removes. We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these Terms or to abuse the service.

Zero Fast is not intended for children under 13. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, or have the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.

4. Zero Fast Premium

Zero Fast is free to download. The free plan includes every fasting rhythm, the fasting timer, water and weight logging and data export, with limits that include: history shows the last 7 days, the journal takes 3 entries a month, you can keep 3 progress photos, and you can run one challenge of your own at a time (joining other people’s challenges is free). Zero Fast Premium is an optional subscription that lifts those limits and adds more; the Premium screen in the app lists what it adds before you buy.

Auto-renewal terms (Apple-required disclosures):

  • Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly at the price shown in the app before you buy. Prices come from the App Store, vary by region, and taxes may apply.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account (formerly Apple ID) at confirmation of purchase.
  • Your subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal, at the price shown in the app for your plan, within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • A free trial is available only on a plan that the app shows with one, and the app shows the trial’s length on that plan before you subscribe. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription then begins and your Apple Account is charged at the price shown for that plan. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions), or with “Manage in the App Store” on the Premium screen in Zero Fast. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for.
  • Deleting the app, or deleting your Zero Fast account, does not cancel a subscription. Apple, not we, holds it.
  • If you reinstall Zero Fast or move to a new device, tap “Restore purchases” on the Premium screen to re-apply a subscription bought with the same Apple Account.

When Premium ends, its features lock again and the free plan’s limits apply. Ending Premium does not delete anything you have logged.

Refunds. All purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are Apple’s to give under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. We cannot issue them. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

If prices or contents change. We may change what the free plan or Premium includes, or what Premium costs. A price increase never applies to a period you have already paid for, and Apple will ask you to agree to a price increase where its rules require it.

5. Challenges and acceptable use

When you create or join a challenge, the other people in it can see your name and your progress in it (days finished and a score), and a cheer you send shows your name. Your weight, journal and fasting times are not shown.

New challenges are public by default (“Anyone can join”). A public challenge is listed in the app, and anyone using Zero Fast can find it and see the names and progress of the people in it. You can turn “Anyone can join” off when you create a challenge, so that people join with its code instead. Even then, treat what is in a challenge as visible to other Zero Fast users, not as private.

You agree not to:

  • use challenges, invitations or cheers to harass, pressure or mislead anyone, or to post anything unlawful or offensive;
  • try to change other people’s challenges, scores or data;
  • use Zero Fast to break the law, or try to gain unauthorised access to it or to the services it relies on;
  • try to bypass the subscription checks.

We may remove content, or suspend or close an account, that breaks these rules.

6. Your data

How we handle your data, including what is stored in our cloud services, the summaries sent for AI processing, and any Apple Health data you choose to connect, is explained in the Zero Fast Privacy Policy. You keep ownership of what you log in Zero Fast.

7. Availability, changes and support

We try to keep Zero Fast working, but we do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. Parts of it depend on services we do not control, and reminders and notifications can arrive late or not at all.

We may update, change or discontinue the app or any feature. We aim to keep Premium features available for any period you have paid for; if we permanently withdraw a paid feature during a paid period, contact us and we will deal with it fairly.

We alone, not Apple, are responsible for providing maintenance and support for Zero Fast. You can reach us at hey@appe-latte.ca.

8. Warranty and liability

The Licensed Application EULA provides Zero Fast “as is” and limits our liability for it, and those terms apply. In addition, to the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or loss of goodwill, arising out of your use of Zero Fast, including any decision about fasting, food, weight or health made in reliance on the app, its estimates, its suggestions or its AI-generated messages, or on a reminder that did not arrive.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. If you are a consumer, you keep all statutory rights that cannot be excluded by contract, including, in Alberta, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, and elsewhere in Canada your rights under equivalent provincial consumer protection legislation.

9. Apple

You acknowledge and agree that:

  1. These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for Zero Fast or its contents.
  2. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for Zero Fast.
  3. If Zero Fast fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app to you (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to Zero Fast, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are our responsibility alone.
  4. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to Zero Fast, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
  5. In the event of a third-party claim that Zero Fast infringes intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
  6. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  7. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects you, we will also email the address on your Zero Fast account before it takes effect. Continuing to use Zero Fast after a change takes effect means you accept the new Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the app and, if you subscribe, cancel through Apple.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, and the courts of Alberta have exclusive jurisdiction, except that, if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections of your own jurisdiction and the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. This section applies despite the precedence rule in §1. The Licensed Application EULA contains its own governing-law clause, which applies to that agreement.

12. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing something is not a waiver of it. These Terms and the Licensed Application EULA are the whole agreement between you and us about Zero Fast; the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions apply alongside them between you and Apple. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor to our business.
